• Black Jack Basics – Part 1

    [ English ]

The basic concept of the card game is to be handed cards adding up to 21. Every chemin de fer player is given 2 cards. When a black jack player is given a nine or less and an Ace they’ve been given a soft hand. When the black jack player is dealt no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been given to every player at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, every blackjack player is provided the opportunity to make 1 of 6 decisions:

Taking another card (Hit): When a player announces "hit" the dealer will deal them another card, if the adding of that card makes the total greater than twenty-one the black jack player will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card makes the total to twenty-one the player will be the winner and if the total has not yet reached 21 they’re still in the game.

Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a black jack player is satisfied with the hand they will stay. Once this has happened the croupier will display his/her hand and the player who has accumulated 21 or the closet to 21 will acquire a win.

Doubling Down: A gambler may ask to double down which increases the wager by one hundred percent they have laid. Once you’ve taken this procedure you can only be given one additional card. The details of doubling down are often specified by the blackjack table or betting house rules so prior to competing make sure you’re at ease with the casino established rules. If you are playing at an internet betting house this is normally very easy.

    Stay tuned for part two.
