I have wagered on millions of hands of 21. I began working my way into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online 21, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of funds at twenty-one. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the house.

I still enjoy the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get rich with this method or defeat the house, however you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I gamble with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Once I hit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the wager back down to the original value.

I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very exciting on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Wynn a few years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this technique! And a number of days ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!

You need to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the streaks you witness betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a $5 game.

Take $5 paid-out to you, leave the first five dollar wager

Wager five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10

Bet $10
Take $10 paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar bet

Bet 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet

Bet 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $40 bet

Wager $40
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of $80

Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager

Wager $80
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of $160

Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 1 hundred and 60 dollar bet

If you left at this moment you would be up $315 !!

It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it can happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
